Horseback Riding Lessons

Horseback Riding Lessons

Riders accepted from age 3+ after an initial evaluation to ensure they are ready for riding. Participants must be able to sit independently.

Our horseback riding lessons are:

  • Available every day
  • In both English and Western riding styles
  • Inside our indoor riding rink or at our outdoor facility
  • Equine Assisted Services (Not Therapeutic Riding)
Horseback Riding Lesson: $50 (30 minutes)
Carriage Driving Lesson: $75 (1 hour)

Note: If you're looking for horseback lessons for your child, they must be able to sit up on their own in order to be eligible.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a full lesson fee. No-shows will be charged in full.

Extended Lesson Program

Bridging School Year and ESY (Extended School Year)

A three-hour Equine Assisted Services program offered on select days to bridge the gap between the end of the school year and the start of Extended School Year (ESY).

Dates & Times (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):

  • Wednesday, June 24, 2026
  • Wednesday, July 1, 2026
  • Wednesday, August 26, 2026
Price: $150 per day

Meet Our Instructor

Nancy Forsyth

English Riding, PATH certified

Nancy Forsyth has excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills that have been honed throughout her career as a horsemanship instructor, volunteer coordinator, fundraiser, and community outreach point person.

Nancy is an artist and former elementary school art teacher, along with being an avid horsewoman for decades with a multitude of experiences both in administration as well as in riding. She holds PATH Intl. CTRI Certifications in both Adaptive Horseback Riding and Adaptive Carriage Driving, and has instructed Adaptive riding in New York as well as New Jersey. Additionally, Nancy has mentored several candidates who have earned PATH certifications, started several new PATH Intl Centers and continues to participate in fundraising and community outreach.

Presently, Nancy has established the Adaptive Riding Program and Carriage Driving Programs at Allaire Community Farm. A recent program addition is the Veteran's Carriage Driving, serving veterans with PTSD. Nancy continues to head the Equine Volunteer Program, and she is currently continuing her position as a Board Member of the Garden State Horse and Carriage Society.

A supporter of the OTTB (Off The Track Thoroughbreds), her horse, Fitti, has joined the lesson program at Allaire Community Farm and has become a great asset to its continued success in touching the lives of those in need.
