Birthday Party at the Farm

Treat your child to a fun-filled farm party at Allaire Community Farm! We have a unique venue in Wall Township, NJ for birthdays seasonally from April to November. Your child and guests will visit our petting zoo, feed the animals, gather eggs in our hen house, milk our mechanical cow, and take a scenic wagon ride around our 25 acres.

Hands-On Team

Each Party will have a host and assistant with your guests. Parties last for two hours and take place in our covered pavilion. We welcome you to bring food (no sternos), cake, or snacks for your guests. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes and make sure to be on time so that they won't miss out on any activities which begin promptly ten minutes after your party start time. Allaire Community Farm is a volunteer-based nonprofit and may take extra time during the week to take phone calls regarding Farm Parties. How long is a birthday party?


Parties last 2 hours.


 

Can I extend parties past two hours?


 

No, parties are carefully timed to allow for all other farm activities.


 

What is the schedule for parties?


 

Guests arrive at the designated time. Parties begin 10 minutes after start time no matter how many guests have arrived. In advance, the host will decide upon a pony ride, planting, or scavenger hunt. The next activity is the Hayride, followed by a visit to the indoor and outdoor petting zoos to feed and groom the animals. Eggs are gathered in the henhouse and children milk Ms. Ellie, our mechanical cow. These farm activities take approximately 1 hour. After activities are complete, guests wash hands and food is served. After 1 hr and 45 minutes, we begin to clean the room and guests exit to parking lot to clear space for the next party.


 

Can parties be modified or adapted to fit our group?


 

No, parties and activities are as stated.


 

How many guests are included in the price of a party?


 

1 to 15 children and up to 30 adults. Additional children are $15 each and adults are $5 each. There is no discount for less than 15 children. Limit of 20 children total (over the age of 1)


 

What ages are included?


 

Anyone who participates in the party is included in the count.


 

Is the farm closed during my party?


 

No, the farm is open 10-4 but the party area and hayride are solely reserved for party guests.


 

What happens if it rains?


 

Parties will happen rain or shine. Rain modifications for parties will go as follows: The farm train ride will replace the wagon ride in the covered pavilion Pony rides will commence in the indoor riding arena. Egg gathering will commence in the indoor petting zoo. An option to visit the outdoor petting zoo in the rain is available.


 

Can I set a rain date in advance?


 

No, rain dates cannot be scheduled in advance. Parties will happen rain or shine, all deposits are non-refundable.


 

What are your party locations?


 

Birthday Parties will be held in the covered Pavillion. Parties may be moved to the indoor Museum in the event of heavy rain or wind, and or a special Farm event.


 

When is the $250 deposit due?


 

Your date and time is not confirmed until deposits are received & is due at booking.


 

Are balloons, confetti and piñatas allowed?


 

No, each of these items contains materials that are dangerous to our rescued animals.


 

Is alcohol allowed?


 

No, we are not insured for alcohol consumption on our farm.


 

Is smoking allowed?


 

No, we are a completely smoke-free facility including our parking lot.


 

Do you provide goodie bags?


 

Yes, goodie bags are available for $10 each. Goodie bags include a farm drawstring bag and beautifully Illustrated hard-cover animal book.


 

Can I drive my car down below to set up?


 

No, we will drive you and your belongings down in our golf cart transporter. We will also drive your gifts and belonging back to the parking lot at the end of the party.


 

How early can I arrive to set up?


 

Fifteen minutes before the start of your party.


 

Do you provide hand sanitizer and bathrooms?


 

Yes, we provide hand sanitizer and porta johns for our guests.


 

Do you provide refrigeration?


 

We can store up to a full sheet cake or ice cream cake in our refrigerator. We provide a large cooler for our guests to bring their own drinks and ice.


 

Do you allow music?


 

Yes, we allow guests to bring a small portable speaker played at an appropriate level as to not upset the animals.


 

When is final head count due?


 

The final head count is due two days prior to your party.


 

Can I bring chaffing dishes?


 

For safety reasons, no open flames are permitted on the farm.


 

Are there additional activities I can add to my child's party?


 

Yes, you can purchase a Farm train ride for $30 or sugar pumpkin picking for $3.50 a child in the Fall.


 

Can I speak to someone ahead of time?


 

Once a party is booked with a deposit, our party coordinator will call you a few days before your event with final numbers and to answer your questions. If you have question you need answered, please send us an email at Debbieallairecommunity@gmail.com.


 

What are the safety rules?


 

There is no running in or around the animals. Helmets MUST be worn for pony rides. Children must wear closed toed shoes to go in with the animals. Entering the animal paddocks & horse barn is prohibited.


 

Do you provide paper products and utensils?


 

No, you are responsible for bringing your own party supplies.


 

What direction do I give my guests?


 

Have your guests arrive on time and park in our lot. They should enter the Market to get directions on where the party is located.


 

Can my guests remain on property after the allocated party time?


 

No, parking is limited, and we need to clear the lot for our next party.


 

Is a cooler provided?


 

We can provide a cooler for drinks, but you need to bring your own ice and beverages.


 

How large are the tables?


 

There are five (5) 4×4 ft tables for guests (12-15 people per table) and two (2) 6 ft tables that we use for food and gifts.


 

Can I hire an outside entertainer?


 

We do not allow outside entertainers because they disrupt the carefully planned flow of the party. All parties have to stick to a strict two-hour time slot to accommodate other events at the farm.


 

Can I reserve two time slots?


 

No, our parties are in high demand, and we want to ensure as many families as possible can have the experience.


 

Can I bring in an ice cream or food truck?


 

We do not allow food trucks to drive onto the farm for the safety of our guests. They are also prohibited from parking in our lot.
