We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our Respite Program at Allaire Community Farm! This new service will provide short-term, planned relief care for caregivers of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Participants will enjoy safe, engaging farm-based activities including:
- Animal interactions and therapeutic animal care
- Gardening and plant-based activities
- Structured support in a nurturing environment
- Nature exploration and farm-based learning
The program is designed to offer meaningful experiences while giving families and caregivers essential breaks.
What is respite care?
Short-term care that gives primary caregivers a temporary break while ensuring the individual receives quality support and engaging activities in a safe, farm-based environment.
Who is eligible?
Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), typically aligned with our existing programs (adults 21+; specifics to be announced upon launch).
