General Description

Allaire Community Farm, a 501(c)(3) NJ Non Profit, is seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual to join our team as a Job Coach to work in our Learning Resource Center’s PreEmployment Education Program to support individuals with disabilities exploring vocational settings/opportunities throughout the Farm.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop participant profile for transition to a customized employment setting.
  • Assist program participants in development of time-management, organization, interpersonal skills and communication skills for the workplace.
  • Assist program participants in the exploration of different aspects of farming including animal care, planting, harvesting and retail farm market.
  • Work one-on-one and/or small group settings to provide instruction.
  • Assist program participants in completing assigned tasks, implementing multi-sensory supports when necessary.
  • Execute teaching plans that established milestone measurement and time frames for progress and success.
  • Maintain record and documentation of program participants’ performance, support and interests.
  • Maintain communication with program participant and guardian.

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks/drug screen.
  • Two years experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
