The Allaire Woman’s Club of Wall Township would like to thank everyone who attended “The Main Event,”our Spring Gift Auction and Fashion Show that was held at The Mill restaurant on Wednesday, March 23.
This was our tenth gift auction but our very first fashion show. The turnout from the surrounding community was above our expectations. The monies raised from this event will be used to provide four high school scholarships for students living within Wall Township. Other charitable organizations that will benefit from this fundraiser are: 180 Turning Lives Around, local food banks, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Allgor- Barkalow Homestead Museum, Wall Helps Its People [WHIP], the Allaire Community Farm and the Armed Forces United through Reading.
We want to thank The Mill for allowing us to host our event at their lovely restaurant. The food and service was superb. A very special thank-you to the shops who provided the lovely outfits and tuxedos for our fashion show: Antoinette Rose, of Belmar, Francesca’s, of Sea Girt, Spiffy’s Tuxedo’s, of Wall, The Spot, of Spring Lake, Tula, of Sea Girt, and Zoe, of Belmar.
Thank you to the individuals who donated their time to provide the music, hair styling and make-up that made the evening such a success: Tara Feeley Entertainment, Kellie Johnson and Sue Alexander of Elan Salon and Blush Salon, Sheri of Savvy Hair Loft and Sari of Milagro Salon. A thank-you to the vendors that evening who donated a portion of their sales back to the Allaire Woman’s Club: Coastal Stemware by At Pixie’s Place and Market America, Lumiere De Vie Products. A very special thank you to all the young ladies and gentlemen from Wall High School who did the modeling for our fashion show. They did an amazing job!
Thank you to The Coast Star staff writers Lauren Garcia and Chris Neeley who have supported our organization this past year by ensuring our events and pictures were posted in the newspaper.
Last, but not least, a great big thank-you to all of the restaurants and local businesses that provided the Allaire Woman’s Club with the wonderful items for our gift auction. Without your continued support to our community there would be no auction.
Lastly, without the untiring efforts of the women who are members of the Allaire Woman’s Club, this event would not have taken place. They continue to be devoted to our motto of, “Dedicated to making our community a better place.” I’m so proud of these women and honored to be a member of this wonderful organization.
